Get Involved

There is always room for more at our table. And there are so many ways to join the ARC family, like becoming a volunteer, intern, or donor!

Government contracts only account for 80% of our budget. We depend on our supporters for the rest. Our community depends on us for the critical services that your donations, volunteer hours, and resources help us provide. Without the generosity of our volunteers, interns, and funders, we would not be able to provide our community the full scope of services we do.

VOLUNTEER

Our programs could not exist without the support of community volunteers. Their generous spirit is a large part of what makes our centers such happy and friendly places. Our volunteers often teach classes, assist with serving in the kitchen, and provide clerical assistance. Please join us by calling 212-781-7222 or emailing us at info@arcseniors.org.

CONTRIBUTE

One of the most important ways you can support ARC’s mission is by donating. Some of our members just want a place to hang out, play dominoes, or learn to sew. Others would struggle to eat or manage their health or benefits without us. Your donations help us provide services to our community’s elders, whatever their level of need because everyone deserves to age with dignity.

STUDENT INTERNS

Our community partnerships help us provide our members with enhanced and expanded services. We have long-standing relationships with our local academic institutions: Columbia University, Yeshiva University, and Lehman College. At ARC, student interns gain real-world experience with older people in areas of expertise ranging from social work to nursing, medicine, dentistry, occupational therapy, and public health. They provide thousands of hours of service to our members each year, we would otherwise be unable to offer.

FUNDERS & PARTNERS

Our commitment to the senior citizens we serve is supported by a combination of public and private funds, private foundations, contracts and fundraising efforts, and the NYC Department for the Aging. We are especially grateful to ARC XVI Fort Washington, Inc.’s dedicated Board of Directors for their unwavering support, generosity, and commitment to our mission and programs.
